Small Dutch Braid

Image
Hello everybody I hope you are doing well! today I have super simple hairstyle for you to create! It's almost like the quarter dutch braid, but even more simple. Below are the things you'll need:   Step 1. Create a side part and brush hair Step 2. Using a rat tail comb (or any comb), section off a small portion of hair from the thinner side part Step 3. Start dutch braiding from the small sectioned off portion of hair Step 4. As usual, gather small pieces of hair with the upper and lower strand of the braid. Keep in mind that for this style, you ONLY need to gather what is sectioned out. Do not gather any strand out of the sectioned portion Step 5. Once you reach to your ear, continue with just a regular braid and do this till the end Step 6. Tie the end of the braid off with a elastic Step 7. Take a bobby pin, and wrapping the braid so it is underneath your hair, pin it to your head Step 8. Spray with setting spray if needed

Bonus!--My Haircare Tips for Healthier, Longer Hair

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I will be sharing some helpful haircare tips, and ways to keep your hair from breakage.  Shower Tips I never really thought that your shower routine can affect the oil that your hair produces. I always washed all my hair, but then I realized that can actually dry your hair, so now I only wash my roots, and that is a major game-changer. Second, I highly recommend parting your hair in two sections before shampooing. After that, shampoo only one section at a time. I found that I can put in more days of no showering in-between showers, because doing that technique does an extra good job of getting out the oils.  Second, if you are looking for your hair to grow faster but to not have to maintain it as much during the growth period, don't let your hair get extremely oily. I wash my hair every 2 days but having an excessive amount of oil in your hair can actually shorten your hair growth period. this is beca...

Heart Braids (Requested Tutorial)

Image
Hello everyone! Today I will be doing a requested hairstyle...heart braids. I know there is a bunch of different ways to do it, but I picked out the cutest one. It has a similar technique as the Dutch braids, but a bit harder. You will need frizz-free hair for this. Step 1. Create a middle part. brush hair. Step 2. Starting farther back down the part, take three small sections and start braiding.  Step 3. AS you braid, do the same thing that you did for dutch braids, but only take sections from the upper section of the braid, so not from the bottom. Just from the top. Step 4. Once you get down to about 4 inches of braid, stop adding sections and just braid down normally.  Step 5. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the other side Step 6. gather your two braids and curve them into a heart shape. Then, take an elastic and tie the ends of both braids together.  Step 7. Spray style with holding spray

Dutch Braids

Today I will be showing you all the steps for Dutch Braids! It isn't as hard as it looks, but it does take a lot of practice! Let's get started! Below is also a picture...                                                              Step 1. Create a middle part. If you have a side part that is ok, however the braids will not be lined up perfectly with each other. Step 2. divide 3 small sections starting from the front of your part.  Step 4. Start braiding. As you braid on, take small sections and add it to pieces 1 and 3. Keep repeating the steps, adding on small chunks to the two outer pieces of the braid. Make sure to tighten as you go. Step 5. Continue braiding down, and when you're done, tie the braid off with an elastic.  Well done! I hope this wasn't too hard...I remember the first 5 times I messed up a LOT...

Heatless Overnight Curls

Below are the needed supplies. Step 1. After wetting hair, put the headband on normally.  Step 2. Do not pull hair out from under the headband. Keeping the hair under the band, gently divide the hair into two sections. Step 3. On either side, take the chunk of hair and twist it up and under, up and under the headband. Repeat on the other side Step 4. Use bobby pins to secure the hold Step 5. Use hairspray if needed to help everything stay out overnight. Then, fall asleep and gently take the headband off the next morning Stay tuned:)

Bonus! -- Haircare Showering Tips💦

Hey all! Today I'm sharing some helpful tips for caring for your hair, even in the shower! . Don't put conditioner on your scalp . Shampoo ONLY your scalp...shampooing all of your hair can risk it getting dry . If you have more oily hair, divide your hair into two and shampoo one side at a time. this helps make sure you get those oily buggers out of there:)  . If you have thicker hair, rinse your conditioner out with cold water.  . Brush your hair before getting in the shower...this will help reduce tangles in and out of the shower Part 2 coming in May!

Quarter Dutch Braid/s

Image

The Hairspray is optional, I just like to give my hair a little spritz though, because it helps tame the flyaways and frizzies.   Step 1. Create a middle part at the top of head, making sure it's even and there is no zigzags.  Step 2. Give your hair a little spray of liquid, then brush through hair till all the tangles are out.   Step 3. At the top of your head, find the front of the part and take 3 small sections in the front and start to create a braid. Only twist about 2-3 times. Step 4. As you continue braiding, take very small sections at the BOTTOM of your sectioned out braid. Keep gathering the bottom sections as you braid, and make sure to keep everything tight. Step 5. Go till you get to the "almost" back of the side of your head, and then don't add any more sections-just braid down as you normally would. Tie...
